By Harry Mottram: Bath City Women FC pulled off a 2-0 win on Sunday 18th September at Twerton Park with Spratt and Clarke both netting. They sit mid table in the Shield Services Group South West Regional Womens Football League.
Odd Down footballers picked up a 2-1 home win against fancied Sturminster Newton on Saturday 27th September. They are currently members of the Western League Division One (WLD1) and play at the Lew Hill Memorial Ground. See https://www.odddownbathafc.co.uk/
Bath City FC lost at home to Chelmsford on the 20th September by a single goal. It leaves them in 18th spot in the National League South – but it is early days and they are above local rivals Chippenham.
The Larks – Larkhall Athletic – travelled to Cornwall on the 27th September in a Southern League South fixture with Mousehole AFC losing out to a last minute goal by two goals to one. Nil-nil at half time it was Harvey Flippance who struck home for Larkhall leaving them in 15th place in the league – but above the drop zone.
Bath Rugby won on the road against a strong Harlequins outfit by 31-47 at The Stoop under the Friday night flood lights. The Blue Black and Whites gave these stats: Tries: Tom Dunn (16), Vilikesa Sela (34), Beno Obano (41), Henry Arundell (56, 76), Archie Griffin (62), Sam Underhill (66). Conversions: Ben Spencer (16, 34, 42, 62, 66), Tom de Glanville (76). The fixture in the Gallagher PREM – renamed from the Gallagher Rugby Premiership. Meanwhile the women notched up a 55-0 win over North Bristol in the league.

Plus: For a third year Bath has hosted visitors attending the Jane Austen festival. All who came to the lawns have been introduced to Golf Croquet and enjoyed engaging in a new skill. Much laughter and competitive spirit was observed and despite the rain showers everyone had a thoroughly good time.
