Bath Rugby

With two games in the Rugby Union Gallagher Prem played it is Barnet based Saracens and Bath who top the table on 10 points each with Saracens ahead on points with a difference of 55 to 28. Exeter are in third place have eight points and Leicester with six points suggest it is the familiar names who are in contention for Bath’s title this season.

On a set and windy Friday night at the Rec it was Bath who came out victors over Sale with a 28-16 win although Sale’s Geoge Ford put kicked the visitors into the lead in the third minute. Further scores for Bath came with tries from Henry Arundell (7), Cameron Redpath (25), Beno Obano (36), Max Ojomoh (77) while Ben Spencer converted all four to secure the points. Sale only managed one try through Nathan Jibulu but George Ford’s boot saw them pick up their points with two drop goals and a penalty as well as the conversion. At half time it was 21-9 to Bath while the game was completed when with three minutes to go Ojomoh touched down to wrap up the win on Friday 3rd October 2025.

Bath City FC

It was a point on the road as City shared a 2-2 away at Fanborough on Saturday 4th October, 2025. It puts them on 10 points after five games in 18th position and three points above the drop zone – although it is fairly meaningly less for manager Darren Way’s outfit since it is early days. On a positive note the Romans are above Chippenham in the National League South table – but have some way to go to overtake fellow Somerset team Weston-super-Mare who are flying high after a strong start.

Bath City Women meanwhile picked up an away win against Banwell Women on Sunday 5th Ocotober 2025. Bex Fry and Maddy Brown scored in the first half – with the final score of 0-2 for the team to bag all three points in the league fixture.

Larkhall AFC went down to a 2-0 away defeat with the long drive to Didcot on Saturday. It leaves them at this early stage of the campaign in mid table – but above Melksham. The women’s team have dropped out of the league and Larkhall hope to re-establish a new team in the future.
