Community celebration returns with exciting live music, free activities and opportunities to get involved.
Bath Carnival is back for 2026, and organisers are thrilled to announce the incredible live acts set to light up the new Camella Main Stage this summer.
The free community festival returns to Sydney Gardens on Saturday 11 July, bringing an exciting mix of live music, performance, local creativity and family-friendly fun to the heart of Bath. From the colourful carnival procession and interactive children’s activities to world-class music and emerging local talent, Bath Carnival promises a day packed with entertainment for all ages. The annual carnival is Bath’s largest free outdoor arts event.

Party in the Park (Sydney Gardens): 10am – 10pm
Grand Carnival Procession: 3pm – 5.30pm
Official After Party (Komedia): 10.30pm – late
The Camella Main Stage Line-Up Announced
Festivalgoers can look forward to an eclectic and energetic programme on the Camella Main Stage, featuring:

  • K.O.G Soundsystem – Afrobeat, highlife and funk-infused grooves from the acclaimed Ghanaian-born performer.
  • No Go Stop – A vibrant blend of West African rhythms, jazz, funk and afrobeat music.
  • Da Lata – UK pioneers of Brazilian-inspired music, blending samba, electronica and global sounds.
  • Big Ben Jorge – Live fiery tropical dance music inspired by 70s Brazilian pop music
  • The SoulFire Project – Multi-cultural, nomadic music experience that blends reggae and cumbia with folk, afro-Latin and Caribbean elements.
  • Tashkezar – A live fusion of Middle Eastern, Balkan and contemporary dance influences.
  • Rainbow Steel Pan Band – Bringing Caribbean rhythms and carnival spirit to the heart of Bath.
  • Flo Breeze – A future star from Emerge Studios brings her contemporary take on the genres of Jazz, Neo Soul, and Funk.
  • Lawrie Duckworth – One of Bath’s most exciting singer-songwriters, known for soulful, heartfelt performances.
    Blending global rhythms, soul, funk, reggae, carnival beats and dancefloor favourites, this year’s line-up reflects the diverse spirit that has made Bath Carnival one of the city’s most anticipated summer events.
    Fun for All the Family
    Bath Carnival continues its commitment to providing a welcoming and inclusive experience for families.
    Returning by popular demand is the Super Pirates Play Zone – a high-energy interactive area packed with giant inflatables, immersive play experiences and action-packed games designed to keep younger carnival-goers entertained throughout the day. With workshops, performances, activities and plenty of open green space, Sydney Gardens will once again become Bath’s biggest community playground. The Sydney Gardens play area also remains open for families to enjoy throughout the day!
    Championing Young Talent and Creativity
    Bath Carnival is proud to continue supporting emerging artists and grassroots creativity through a number of dedicated performance spaces and community partnerships:
    The Music Workshop Community Stage
    The Music Workshop Community Stage will showcase an exciting line-up of emerging artists from Bath and the surrounding area, celebrating local talent and providing a platform for the next generation of performers.
    Dance Workshop Area
    The ever-popular Dance Workshop Area is back, where festivalgoers of all ages can enjoy some of the region’s best DJs, learn new moves, and immerse themselves in carnival culture.
    A Celebration Powered by Community
    Bath Carnival remains one of the UK’s largest free community carnivals, bringing together thousands of residents, performers, artists, volunteers and visitors for a vibrant celebration of creativity, diversity and community spirit.
    Organisers are encouraging local people to get involved by singing up to volunteer at the event, fundraising or simply coming along to enjoy the festivities and leaving a donation at the gate.

    Community Outreach at the Heart of Bath Carnival
    Bath Carnival is more than a one-day festival. Throughout the year, we work with schools, charities and community groups across Bath and North East Somerset, delivering creative workshops, performance opportunities and community arts projects.
    This year we are proud to be working with Paulton Junior School, Oldfield Park Junior School, St Martin’s Garden Primary, Bathwick St Mary’s Church School, Roundhill Primary School, Kings Academy Crispin School Academy, Hugh Sexey Church of England Middle School and Achieve Together (Educational Day Services Somerset)
    Many participants go on to take part in the Carnival Procession, helping to create a vibrant celebration that reflects the diversity, creativity and community spirit of our city.
