By Clyde Hunter: This year’s Bloomfield Green Gathering on the Green is on Sunday 11 June, from 1.30 pm.
We will have music from the City of Bath Brass Training Band, as usual, and also from brother and sister duo Fiddle & Strum. They played at the Bath Festival opening tonight and offer “to have you singing along as they swing from table-banging Irish drinking songs to heartfelt folk music, and from Appalachian airs to country music bangers.”
There will be the usual children’s games, stalls, refreshments, and prizes.
If the weather is good, we ask people to come early and picnic – we will also have a Beechen Cliff School band called TBC, making their first public appearance.
