Bath Voice News: The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is set to open in the Mission Theatre with Kes Joffe as the protagonist Christopher Boone in an adaption of Mark Haddon’s smash hit novel

PREVIEW: The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time was adapted for stage by Simon Stephens, and premiered at the Royal National Theatre, London, in 2012. It transferred to the Apollo Theatre in the West End in 2013 The play then went on to win 7 Olivier Awards that same year including Best New Play. The show’s run at The Apollo Theatre wasn’t without difficulty; the ceiling collapsed and caused the production to close. It didn’t reopen again until 2014, where it played at the Gielgud Theatre, it premiered on Broadway the same year. The original production was fulfilled by the National Theatre in collaboration with Frantic Assembly who were responsible for the movement direction for which the show has become known.

A talented cast of Next Stage actors – headed by Kes Joffe as Christopher – is thrilled to be kick-starting the company’s 30th anniversary year with this powerful production directed in-the-round by Next Stage’s Artistic Director Ann Ellison BEM. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is directed by Ann Ellison.
