Football: Bath City: The team lost by 3-0 to Chelmsford City on Saturday 7th September. The club reported: “City mixed start to the 24/25 season continued this afternoon as they were beaten 3-0 by Chelmsford City at the Melbourne Stadium. The home side dominated the first period and should have been further ahead than a single goal at half-time. City improved after the break but two further goals completed a straightforward win for the Clarets.”
Football: Larkhall Athletic: The team travelled to Tavistock in Devon on the far side of Dartmoor but lost in this FA Trophy qualifier by 3-2 despite taking an early lead – and cheered on by Alfie who joined the team on his 90th birthday.
Football: Odd Down: A 2-0 home win over Warminster in the league has given the club a boost after three defeats in a row.

Rugby: Bath Rugby Union Club: The Blue, Black and Whites where beaten in an entertaining match top Championship side Ealing Trailfinders by 28-36. Tries for Bath came from Jaco Coetzee (9, 43), Tom de Glanville (16), Kepu Tuipulotu (80) while Ealing scored five tries with four conversions and one penalty.
