Weston All Saints Primary School (WASPS) has welcomed a new headteacher as pupils return for the start of the academic year.
Warrick Barton has taken up the role at the Weston school, bringing three decades of experience in education and ten years as headteacher at Pensford Primary School near Bristol.
Mr Barton has also been part of The Partnership Trust’s school improvement team since 2021, supporting schools across the multi-academy trust, which includes both Pensford Primary and Weston All Saints.
Weston All Saints Primary School has been based on its current site since 1957 and maintains close links with All Saints Church and the wider community. Pupils attend church services at Christmas and Easter and recently took part in recording an Easter song that was shared with other church schools within The Partnership Trust.
Speaking about his appointment, Mr Barton said:”Ensuring that every child reaches their personal best, both in their learning and in their social development, is what drives me as a school leader. I am therefore enormously excited about working with staff, parents and the church community to lead Weston All Saints on the next stage of its journey. WASPS is an iconic feature of Bath, with strong Christian values, and I am determined to ensure it is a school of which parents, staff and children are incredibly proud.”

The school is inviting prospective families to visit during a series of open days this autumn. The dates are:
- September 16 and 25
- October 7, 12 and 21
- November 6, 11, 16 and 27
