Bath Voice Sports News: The perfect start to the Gallagher Premiership for the Blue Black and Whites as Bath win 38-16 against rivals Northampton

By Harry Mottram: Bath gained revenge over Northampton Saints as they took the spoils in a controlled performance against the Gallagher Premiership champions at the Recreation Ground under the lights on Friday September 20, 2024.

When Ollie Lawrence went over for a try on the hour the tide finally turned in Bath’s favour as the Blue Black and Whites pressed home their advantage with a lead of 15-10 at the break.

The Saints didn’t play badly but leaked points when a small number of errors cost them the game during a spell towards the end of the first half.

Bath ran away with it in the final minutes of the second half winning 38-16 as the Saints tired. For the club this is just what was needed for their first game of the premiership campaign and Bath will be looking to win the title this season after being runners up last time.
