From the RUH: Staff and patients gathered to mark Armistice Day today (Monday 11 November) at the Royal United Hospitals (RUH) Bath NHS Foundation Trust, remembering military and civilian sacrifices made in conflicts across the world.
The service, which took place in the garden of the hospital’s Spiritual Care Centre, included the two minute silence, readings, the laying of a wreath and the Last Post.
The service was led by Lead Chaplain Narinder Tegally, Deputy Team Chaplain Philip Turner, and Assistant Chaplain Sian Griffith.
Interim Managing Director Andrew Hollowood read The Beatitudes, the Last Post was played by Doctor Joe Barron-Snowdon, and the wreath was laid by Chief Executive Cara Charles-Barks, who is also Honorary Colonel of 243 (Wessex) Multi-Role Medical Regiment.
The service is available to view on the RUH’s Facebook page, where it was also broadcast live.
