Football: Bath City FC: A 3-0 win over Aveley at Twerton Park on Saturday 21st December set up a hat trick of wins as the new manager Darren Way took to the dug out. A 0-3 win away to Chippenham on Boxing Day was followed by an impressive 1-0 victory at home over high flying Farnborough on New Year’s Day. Dorking away is the next challenge on Saturday 4th January 2025. The run of wins have seen the Romans move 11 points clear of the drop zone in a respectable 17th place in the Vanarama National League South.
Football: Bath City Women FC: On Sunday 15th December they were at home in the league against Cirencester Town and won by 2-1 with Duffy, Thorner-Atkinson scoring the goals. Next game is on Sunday 5th January when they play Corsham Town away. Sitting in 4th place in the league they haven’t given up on promotion just yet.
Football: Larkhall Athletic AFC: A 1-1 draw against Bristol Manor Farm on the 21st December was followed by a 0-1 loss at home to Shaftsbury on Boxing Day. 2025 began in style with a 0-3 win away to Westbury – with Tavistock the visitors on January 4th to come. The team are in 16th place in the Southern League Division One South.
Football: Odd Down: Defeat at the hands of Bradford Town on the 21st December was not what was needed but a 2-1 home win on Boxing Day helped to bring Christmas cheer.
Rugby: Bath Rugby Union Club: The Blue, Black and Whites had an impressive win on December 21st against Newcastle Falcons away on the Saturday before Christmas running out winners by 15-40pts. Boxing Day saw another victory as they put 68 points on the score sheet against Saracens winning 68-10 at the Rec.

Modern Pentathlon: Team GB had an incredible performance at the home World Championships held at the University of Bath, with a seven-strong squad qualifying across the women’s and men’s finals.
