The Bath Priory is celebrating after securing a Michelin Key and a series of prestigious AA Hospitality Awards, recognising the hotel, restaurant and spa among some of the best in the country.
The Weston Road hotel has retained its Michelin Key and collected multiple accolades in the latest AA Hospitality Awards, including the coveted Five AA Red Star Inspectors’ Choice award for the hotel and three AA Rosettes for its restaurant. The hotel also holds an AA Notable Wine List Award, an AA Recommended Spa Hotel Award and an AA Breakfast Award.
The AA announced the awards at a ceremony in London on 21st September. The Five AA Red Stars distinction represents the organisation’s highest hotel accolade and recognises exceptional hospitality, service and comfort.
Executive Head Chef Chris Hopkins earned three AA Rosettes for The Bath Priory restaurant. This is an honour reserved for restaurants regarded as outstanding dining destinations.
The awards success was followed by confirmation that The Bath Priory had retained its Michelin Key. Michelin inspectors described the hotel as “a very special place to stay”, praising its gardens, spa facilities, accommodation and dining.
In its assessment, Michelin said: “You come to Bath for genteel tranquillity and Georgian splendour, and The Bath Priory offers generous helpings of both.”
Set within four acres of gardens on the western side of the city, The Bath Priory is one of Bath’s best-known luxury hotels and forms part of the Andrew Brownsword Hotels collection.
The Bath Priory’s restaurant opens for dinner from Wednesday to Sunday. Visitors can also enjoy lunch, afternoon tea or drinks in the hotel’s gardens.
The latest accolades place The Bath Priory among a select group of hotels recognised by both the AA and Michelin for excellence in hospitality, dining and guest experience.
