Dementia News: Bath-based charity, The Research Institute for the Care of Older People (RICE), has been awarded just over £300,000 by The National Lottery Community Fund, the largest funder of community activity in the UK. The funding will be invested over three years in a programme of post-diagnosis support for people living with dementia and their families.
RICE will be building on its existing support services which currently include a range of courses such as Cognitive Stimulation Therapy, Living with Dementia and a Carers course.
The charity is looking for volunteers and people affected by dementia to get involved with RICE, their events and activities.
To register your interest and find out more about volunteering with RICE or how else to get involved contact Catherine Wright, Head of Fundraising and Marketing at Catherine.wright@rice.org.uk or visit www.rice.org.uk
