Bath City FC: The team have had back to back draws with a 0-0 result away to Hornchurch in the league on the 19th October. They then had a 2-2 draw at Twerton Park against Weymouth with Fisher scoring the Roman’s goal. Next up is an away fixture against St Albans in the league in the battle of the Roman cities. Football: Bath City Women FC: The Sulisians won 4-2 in their home fixture on Sunday 6 October against Corsham Town. Adella Clarke’s double, and goals from Erin Watkins and Erin Duffy ensured came out on top in this entertaining encounter between two good sides.
The team’s next fixture is on Sunday 27th October, 2024, at home against Royal Wootton Bassett Town in the league.
Football: Larkhall Athletic: The Larks took on Didcot at home on Saturday 19th October in the league winning 3-2 in a thriller. They also overcame Bemerton Heath Harlequins on 22 October, by 2-5. They face Thatcham Town on 26 October at home.
Football: Odd Down: On Saturday, 5 October the Down bagged a 2-1 home win against Hengrove Athletic but lost out to Wells City FC away by 4-0. They faced the Cheesemen of Cheddar away on Saturday 19th October in the league but went down to a two goal to nil defeat.
Hockey: City of Bath Hockey Club: On Saturday 12 October the women’s first team beat Team Bath Buccaneers by 0-3 away while the men bagged a 1-1 draw against Lansdown at home. On the 20th October a mixed team beat Keynsham 6-4 while the day before he men’s first team beat Stroud 4-3.
Rugby: Bath Rugby Union Club: The Blue, Black and Whites beat the Quins on Saturday 19th October at The Stoop by 24-26. The club said: “Francois van Wyk’s five-pointer, his first for the Blue, Black and White, secured a dramatic win after an action-packed 80 minutes in front of a full house in West London. Twice in the game, Bath scored tries despite being down to 14 players to show brilliant resilience with van Wyk’s effort at the death being the first time that Head of Rugby Johann van Graan’s side had been ahead throughout. Scores through Guy Pepper, Tom de Glanville, and Thomas du Toit had earlier kept Bath within touching distance of Quins, who picked up a losing bonus point, in an epic contest on Saturday evening.”
