Bath Voice Theatre News: Bath based drama group to stage their play about online dating in Bristol – Jess’s seven dates in seven days – what could possibly go wrong! Preview of Ghosted by Naked Heart

PREVIEW: Ghosted. Devised and written by Johnny T. Ashman with Ginnie Mallinson and Rob Marais

Venue and dates: Friday 5th to Thursday 11th September at the Alma Theatre, Clifton, Bristol.

Naked Heart productions, which celebrated their 25th anniversary in 2024, is presenting an exciting new, original show about the vagaries of online dating. Fun, funny, heart-warming and heart-breaking, this is the story of one woman’s search for hope and happiness in sea of despair and floundering fish. Jess, recently returned from a stint abroad, finds herself alone and in need of company. She decides to set herself a challenge; she has done the couch to 5k run after all!

The challenge? Seven dates over the period of a week to see if there is a man out there worth having. She also decides to enlist the help of her lifelong buddy since their school days in the shape of Alex. There are, of course, as with all dating scenarios, challenges along the way. As Jess sagely says, ‘If all dating went well, no rom-coms would exist!’ This play is not for the faint, or easily broken, hearted!
