By Harry Mottram: City saw off Bracknell Town at the weekend in the FX trophy competition when they held their nerves to win 5-3 on penalties after the match ended 1-1 with Owen Windsor saving the Romans in injury time with an equaliser when it looked like Bracknell had won. Penalties were needed to decide the winner and it was Bath that held their nerves. Saturday 8 November a 0-0 draw at home against Dagenham and Redbridge in front of more than 1,200 spectators was followed on Tuesday night with a 1-1 draw with Tonbridge at Twerton Park. Bath Rugby dropped to second place in the table when they were edged out by Gloucester in a narrow defeat away from on Friday night by 19-17. Despite taking the lead the Blue Black and Whites were down at the break by 19-12. The team pulled it back to see the gap narrow but with some impressive new players making an impact.
