Bath Voice: Letter to the editor seeking support and sponsorship for a Bath man’s bid to row across the Atlantic with three pals in aid of the HALO and Clock Tower Foundation

Dear Editor, My name’s Patrick Magee, I’m a proud Bathonian, born and bred in Bath. I went to school locally at St John’s (now Student Castle accommodation), I’m a regular at Bath Rugby, and I was once part of the local 131 Commando Army Reserve Unit so I’m the team member with the Bath connection.

This December, three others and I will be rowing across the Atlantic Ocean as part of the World’s Toughest Row a 3,000-mile, self-sustained row across the Atlantic that takes just over a month to complete. We’re not only entering to compete; we’re aiming to win the event.

We’re doing this in support of two incredible charities: The HALO Trust and the Clock Tower Foundation. We’re working to raise significant funds for both causes.

We’re also hosting a black-tie fundraising event at Windsor Racecourse on Friday 11 April. There will be auctions, as well as a few inspirational speakers, and we’ll have the boat there for guests to see in person. We’d love to extend an invitation to your readers to join us at the event as well.

Tickets/details are here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/rogue-wave-black-tie-ball-tickets-1979740978560

I’ve also attached our pitch deck, which gives more detail on the event and what we’re aiming to achieve.

Kind regards,
Patrick Magee
