Dear Editor, I wanted to highlight three brilliant events that we have coming up in May and June with reference to Mentoring Plus in Bath. Mentoring Plus is an independent charity supporting young people aged 5 to 25 across Bath & North East Somerset who are facing challenges at home or at school. Through tailored mentoring, inclusive youth clubs, and inspiring activities, we help them feel safe, heard, and hopeful about their future. Our programmes of weekly, inclusive and child-led mentoring, help young people to improve wellbeing, build confidence, reengage with education and reconnect with their community. Community walk – Bath – Wednesday 13 May
To launch this year’s Big BaNES 100k challenge (our summer fundraiser with fellow youth charity, Off The Record) we are inviting our local community to join us for a sociable and scenic walk in Bath on Wednesday 13 May at 5pm.
We’ll meet at The Open House Centre (Manvers St) at 5pm for some refreshments, before following a scenic route through the city, along the waterways and meadows of Bath.
Tickets are £5 per person, with proceeds supporting both charities.

Quiz Night – Riverside Youth Hub – Thursday 14 May
Our incredible quiz night returns to Riverside on Thursday 14 May at 7pm. Come down solo, with friends, family or colleagues for a great evening of food, drink and a test of your knowledge.
Tickets: £15 per person or table of six for £75. All tickets include a welcome drink and a delicious meal.
Comedy Night – Widcombe Social Club – Friday 12 June
Join us for our first ever comedy night at Widcombe Social Club in Bath on Friday 12 June. Generously sponsored by RIVIAM, we’ll be welcoming three stand-out stand-ups for a brilliant evening of live comedy. We’re thrilled to have Harriet Dyer, Jarred Christmas, and Tiff Stevenson taking to the stage, with Harriet Beveridge joining us as compere.
This promises to be a fantastic evening, and you won’t want to miss it. Tickets are £23.50 per person and will go on sale soon. So, watch this space!
Mentoring Plus
Led by experienced youth workers and shaped by the young people who attend, our weekly youth clubs clubs are open to 11-19 year olds in Bath & North East Somerset. Across Bath & North East Somerset, young people are facing complex challenges and struggling to access the support they need to overcome them.
