Thu 4 Jun. The Bush. Presented by Alice Mary Cooper. Directed by Laila Noble. The Bush recalls the inspiring true story of 13, 1970’s housewives who battled for 10 years to save a bushland in Alice’s native Sydney. This kickstarted a nationwide, globally significant movement of Green Bans, protecting natural and cultural heritage. 1pm & 7pm. Tickets: £10.50 – £12.50.

Thu 11 – Sat 13 Jun. Toto Kerblammo! A Unicorn Theatre Production. Tim Crouch’s powerful play about listening, friendship and finding hope in the darkest of places returns to the Unicorn after rave reviews. Fri 10-Sat 11 July. Hadestown. A musical with music, lyrics, and book by Anaïs Mitchell. It blends versions of two ancient Greek myths, Orpheus and Eurydice and Hades and Persephone, to explore enduring and contemporary themes. The story begins with Eurydice, a hungry young girl, going to work in a hellish industrial version of the Greek underworld to escape poverty and the cold, and a poor singer-songwriter lover Orpheus proposing to her. Thu, June 25. King of Fools. Presented by Kairos Theatre Company. King of Fools is a new musical comedy premiered last year to great acclaim, written by Martin Dimery ( from The Unravelling Wilburys) in musical collaboration with Helen Turner, renowned keyboard player- notably with Paul Weller’s Style Council. Martin and Helen appear in the four piece stage band. 7:30pm.
Fri, Jun 26. The Elixir of Love. Presented by Bath Opera. Friday 26th June at 7:30 and Saturday 27th June at 2:30pm. The Elixir of Love tells the charming story of the shy Nemorino, who believes a mysterious “love potion” will help him win the heart of the witty and independent Adina. But the travelling salesman Dulcamara may not be quite the miracle-worker he claims to be… This joyful production is perfect for both seasoned opera lovers and those discovering opera for the first time. The Elixir of Love will be sung in English and accompanied by piano.
