A new visitor information centre run by the Bath BID opens in York Street from 27 July 2022.
The centre will run on a trial basis over the summer holidays from 11am – 2pm Monday to Friday, supported by the BID Welcome Ambassadors who will continue to be present in the city on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am – 2pm.
Volunteer Welcome Ambassadors and the Bath BID team will staff the centre to help with any visitor questions and provide a warm welcome to Bath.
The opening of the centre is also an opportunity to support city-based businesses and attractions with a new promotional channel, that will contribute to the success of local events, ticket sales and experiences.
CEO of the Bath BID Allison Herbert said:
‘We are delighted to launch a trial of the visitor information centre which fits well alongside our other projects. Our Welcome Ambassador project has been successfully running since 2018 and forms part of our ‘brilliant basics’, which are longstanding and celebrated projects run by the Bath BID. The Welcome Ambassador team is a real asset to the city, and we look forward to continuing their great work!’
Director of Tourism for Visit West, Kathryn Davies commented:
‘We enjoy a good working relationship with the Bath BID and look forward to seeing the outcome of the visitor information centre trial.’
