Bath Voice News: City draw the Shots in the FA Cup

The Shots (Aldershot Town FC) have been drawn to face Bath City in the Emirates FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round at home. The tie will take place on Saturday, 12th October, at the EBB Stadium with a 3pm kick-off.

Local fixtures in the cup: Taunton Town vs Maidenhead United; Forest Green Rovers vs Winchester City or Weymouth; Bishop’s Cleeve or Chesham United vs Yeovil Town; Haringey Borough or Lowestoft Town vs Chippenham Town or Weston Super Mare.

Bath have reached the third round of the FA Cup six times, beating league sides such as; Crystal Palace (in 1931), Millwall (in 1959), and Cardiff City (in 1992).

City beat Salisbury in the last round 1-2 away from home.

It was the late, late show in Salisbury as Alex Fisher scored late on for City to send them through to the FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round. It was a stoppage time header that turned the game on its head with city having to overhaul Salisbury’s 1-0 lead. A Frear free-kick saw Tillson equalise for Bath while substitute Sol Wanjau-Smith crossed the ball to Fisher who headed in to send the 250 travelling fans into ecstasy.
